Long-time Palmetto Electric Cooperative Director, Eunice F. Spilliards, announced her resignation from the cooperative’s Board of Directors, after more than 31 years of service, at the Board’s January meeting. Spilliards, a resident of Ridgeland, was elected to Palmetto Electric’s Board of Directors on May 4, 1991. She held the position of Secretary-Treasurer and also served on the boards of the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, Cooperative Electric Energy Utility Supply (CEEUS) and Line Equipment (LE). She also served on numerous statewide electric cooperative committees during her tenure.
“Mrs. Spilliards’ long-standing commitment to Palmetto Electric Cooperative and our members throughout her Board tenure is truly appreciated,” said Berl Davis, Palmetto Electric’s president and CEO. “We are grateful for her contributions to the cooperative, and she will be sorely missed by all.”
Following Spilliards’ resignation, Palmetto Electric Director, Carolyn Grant, was elected to fill the vacated position of Secretary-Treasurer of the Board.
