SC Stay Plus: Renter Utility Assistance Eligibility Form
Electric cooperatives in South Carolina have partnered with the SC Stay Plus program to provide direct utility assistance to eligible residential renters. Homeowners and businesses are not eligible for this program. Homeowners may find resources here.
Once identified as eligible by SC Stay Plus, a co-op member will receive a payment applied directly to their utility bill from the SC Stay Plus program for past due utility bills dating back to March 13, 2020, if applicable. SC Stay Plus will also provide support for up to three (3) months of future payments.
To help confirm your eligibility for the program, please complete a seven-question survey or call 803-336-3420 and follow the utility-specific prompts to answer the questions over the phone.

Your responses are strictly confidential and will be used to confirm your eligibility for utility assistance only through the SC Stay Plus program. Responses will be sent directly to the program.
