The Board of Directors of Palmetto Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce that the financial condition of your cooperative has remained very strong for the year 2021. As a result, on this month’s bill you have received a one-time rebate in the form of a bill credit, calculated based on your electrical usage in 2021. This bill credit in lieu of issuing a rebate check to you is another green initiative by Palmetto Electric Cooperative to conserve resources and reduce costs.

As a member of Palmetto Electric Cooperative, you are also one of our owners. Unlike investor-owned utilities, cooperatives exist to provide our members with electric service on a not-for-profit basis. In addition to this rebate, Palmetto Electric Cooperative has also returned more than $3.9 million in Capital Credits in 2021 and authorized reducing the power cost factor for the months of November and December on your electric bill. These are just some of the many benefits of being a member of Palmetto Electric Cooperative.
